  • 4 years of credit in a single globally spoken language (we currently offer Spanish, French, or Arabic)
  • 80 Global Citizenship Points (service hours and cultural experiences); additional honors awarded to 120+ points
  • Capstone course and project
  • Comprehensive portfolio of interdisciplinary work based on global issues, including advanced coursework (Pre-AP, AP, Dual Credit options available)

Certificate of Endorsement
Students who complete all requirements above will receive upon graduation an AGS endorsement certificate and AHS graduation distinction, verifying that they completed the AGS course of study, as approved by the International Studies Schools Network (ISSN) of the Asia Society.
Certificate of Participation
Students who are missing some of the requirements for the full endorsement (e.g. did not complete a Capstone Project, did not complete the AGS course of study, or did not meet the global citizenship points requirement) are eligible to receive a certificate of participation upon graduation from Austin High.
